The Social Junction 2026 Edition

The Social Junction Is Back – Strengthening Community Wellbeing and Inclusion
You asked and we listened and as promised, we’re excited to announce that Social Junction Edition is back!
This initiative is part of the ongoing work of Social Junction NSW Ltd, focused on supporting social inclusion, promoting mental wellbeing, and improving access to information and opportunities for diverse communities across Australia.
In this edition, we are collaborating with Openmaps Agency, African Professionals of Australia, and Sydney Metropolitan Institute of Technology to provide community members with access to educational and informational support services.
A Community-Focused Initiative
The Social Junction is designed to deliver meaningful public benefit by:
- Reducing social isolation and fostering inclusion
- Supporting mental health and emotional wellbeing
- Providing access to education and migration-related information
- Strengthening community networks and support systems
This initiative contributes to improved wellbeing and increased access to opportunities for individuals and families.
Supporting Access to Education for International Students
As part of our commitment to improving access to education, Sydney Metropolitan Institute of Technology will be present to provide general information and guidance to attendees, including international students.
Support on the day will include:
- Information on available scholarships (including up to 25% for eligible applicants)
- General course and admission guidance
- Information on study pathways and opportunities
This helps ensure individuals are better informed and able to explore pathways that support their future goals.

This includes:
- General information on visa pathways (student, skilled, visitor, and dependant)
- Community information sessions
- Individual guidance conversations
All information is provided to support informed decision-making.
Building Inclusive and Connected Communities

Our focus remains on delivering initiatives that are inclusive, accessible, and beneficial to the wider community.
